About Esmond Village

Esmond Village Apartments is a 140-unit community located at 6 Village Drive in Smithfield, Rhode Island. The property participates in HUD’s Section 8 project-based rental assistance program, and rent is based on household income.

Esmond Village gives selection priority to elderly households (62 and older) under HUD’s elderly preference rules. This is a preference, not a restriction: households that are neither elderly nor disabled remain eligible to apply.

We offer 1 and 2 bedroom units. Our team is on-site and available to answer questions about eligibility, the waiting list, and the application process.

We will communicate with applicants and residents in the manner or format they request if necessary because of a disability, and we provide assistance with interpretation for applicants with limited English proficiency.
